Free Slim Chiboub, seriously?

Charged in many cases, the son-in-law of the fallen president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and ex-president of the Esperance of Tunis Slim Chiboub seems to benefit from a good number of support.

Slim Chiboub is in the viewfinder of justice for his involvement in different corruption cases, but there are more and more supporting messages in his favor, this is in any case what we can see through the support campaigns on social networks (Free Chiboub and others).

Pages, a multitude (#Freechiboub), call for his release and support him via messages and photos.

It is clear, in this situation of crisis and insecurity, that the Chiboub affair seems to be a primordial priority or question for some nostalgic who do not hesitate to support the ex-president of the Tunisian National Olympic Committee by messages, photos in the image of the latter, memorable videos, etc. While he was in full possession of his powers.

Does Slim Chiboub harvest the fruits of its sporting successes? In any case, this is one of the reasons (if not the only one) of the affection and the attachment carried to it!

Recall that on July 15, the accusation chamber of the Tunis Court of Appeal had rejected the request for liberation from Slim Chiboub in the case relating to the Rades electricity company.

The investigating judge of the Judicial and Financial Pole also issued, on March 9, a judgment in favor of the parole of Slim Chiboub, against a deposit of guarantee of a million dinars but the public prosecutor of the Tunis court of first instance appealed to appeal from his release.

Slim Chiboub returned to Tunisia, on November 18 of Abu Dhabi where he had been in exile since January 2011 in order to confront justice and appeal the judgments pronounced against him in absentia, he announced a few days before.

Upon his arrival in Tunis, he appeared before the criminal chamber n ° 5 of the Tunis court of first instance to oppose two judgments pronounced against him. However, it turned out that he was prosecuted in other cases including that of money laundering.

A warrant of deposit and a travel ban were issued against him and he was imprisoned in Mornaguia prison.

A bill relating to reconciliation was proposed by the President of the Republic Béji Caïd Essebsi during a ministerial council which took place at the Palais de Carthage on Tuesday July 14, but would not target members of the family of Ben Ali had announced on Wednesday July 15 Béji Essebsi.
