From August 5 to 11, the Hammamet International Cultural Center is organizing a cycle entitled Hammamet screens, including a competition for films created with smartphones.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the National Center for Cinema and Image and the International Cultural Center in Hammamet organize the “Hammamet screens” demonstration from August 5 to 11, 2024 at the CCIH.
“The screens of Hammamet” is an event that is interested in cinema and video art, highlighting cinematographic production on a low -budget and new trends in the sector.
At the top of the program, the “Mobile Movie” competition is a first in the field of cinematographic writing. Supervised by the artistic director Ibrahim Letaief, this competition aims to produce eight short films lasting 2 to 5 minutes, focused on the sixty years of the Hammamet Theater, filming behind the scenes of the 58th edition of the International Hammamet Festival with mobile phones.
This initiative is the first film festival made with smartphones in Tunisia.
The call for candidates was opened to cinema enthusiasts and graduates of film and audiovisual schools, the participants being selected by a specialized committee. Participants benefit from professional supervision in the cinematographic field through workshops ranging from writing to post-production.
