Although having been mastered, according to the press release from the Regional Directorate of Civil Protection of Jendouba published last Saturday, the fire in Melloula, in the Tabarka region, has taken over today and ravaged large forest areas.
This resumption of the fire is due to very strong winds which have risen in the region.
Due to this serious situation, the said Directorate of Civil Protection undertook to evacuate all the inhabitants of the Melloula zone, according to a statement which it released today Monday, July 24, 2023.
In most cases, the resumption of fire can only be due to ashes or flames which often convent under the rubble or in the tree trunks and were revived by the force of the winds, causing the declaration of this fire.
