A series of urgent measures have been adopted to accelerate the restoration of ordinary working conditions in the mobile port of Bizerte, following the fire started there on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
In this sense, the Committee for the Fight against Natural Disasters has held a working session to deal with the repercussions of said fire. The governor of Bizerte Samir Abdellaoui, called on the regional authorities to finalize the technical and financial evaluation report linked to the impact of the fire, and to provide the appropriate solutions by next Tuesday, in order to restore the full functionality of the mobile bridge.
The continuation of vigilance and the mobilization of efforts to secure the perimeter of the bridge and ensure the safety of users, were also at the center of the discussions.
It should be recalled that, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, a fire broke out at the level of one of the adjustment stations of the Bizerte Mobile Pont, following an electric short circuit, according to the technical services of the city’s emblematic work.
