As part of the vast security campaign conducted for two days by the units of the Ministry of the Interior in Sfax, the sub-Saharan irregular migrants were evacuated from the square “Rbat Lemdina” and surrounding spaces at the Fountain, located on the side of Bab El-Jébli.
On the other hand, the campaigns continue for the evacuation of migrants in other places such as the “Place du Jardin”, “the mother and the child”, still in Bab El-Jean, marked by an “anarchic presence of migrants, particularly of the Sudanese community”, according to Khalil Akrouti, delegate of the city of Sfax, in a declaration to the correspondent of the Agency.
These illegal immigrants have gathered for more than two months, in different places in the city.
It should be recalled that in recent months, citizens of the governorate of Sfax had launched, through the media, repeated calls to the authorities to end the massive influx of migrants in an anarchic way and find solutions to the negative aspects which accompanied this phenomenon, in particular the aspects, environmental, social, health, human and security.
