The gas emissions from the Tunisian chemical group (GCT) in Gabès caused this Friday, October 13, 2023, several cases of asphyxiation in particular in the ranks of the students of a school.
According to medical sources cited by the TAP agency, a dozen people were transported to the hospital to receive first aid.
This gas emission comes from a production unit close to the school in question, it was also said.
It is not an isolated incident, other similar incidents had occurred in the region, agree the inhabitants of this area.
