Abdelhak Khemir, one of the great puppet artists counted by Tunisia died yesterday, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the age of 75.
Abdelhak Khemir was recognized by the Tunisian cultural scene as one of the pioneers in the field of puppets. Considered among the most brilliant of Tunisian puppeteers and one of the founders of this art, the deceased distinguished himself on numerous occasions, in particular with his reference work, “ORS El Khonfoussa” (The Marriage of the Scarab).
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs paid tribute to the artist, presenting his condolences to his family of the artist and to the whole Tunisian cultural and artistic family.
