A metro 4 locomotive connecting downtown Tunis to Manouba derailed this Tuesday, December 5, 2023 around 4:10 p.m., at the Bardo station, without doing human damage, the Tunis Transport Society “Transu” said.

The metro 4 locomotive that was heading towards Tunis died from the railroad track and collided with the iron barrier, damaging the door of another metro in the direction of Manouba who was stopped, without causing injuries, explained the company, noting that material damage was however recorded.

Metro traffic has resumed on a single track between the stations of “Kheireddine” and “Bardo” and six buses were mobilized to transport passengers to the stations of “Slimane Kahia” and “Kheireddine”, pending the restoration of traffic on the two lanes.
