The operation took place at the center of the capital and made it possible to dismantle 12 anarchic points of sale.
According to the same source, the intervention focused on several strategic arteries, including the avenue de Madrid, rue de Libya, rue de Carthage and rue de Jordan. It aimed to fight against the persistent phenomenon of wild displays, the illegal occupation of sidewalks and public roads, as well as the violations of health standards.
During this campaign, the authorities seized chairs, tables and foodstuffs deemed unfit for consumption.
The municipality recalled that these actions are part of a continuous campaign, started for several weeks, in order to preserve the image of downtown Tunis, considered both a tourist and commercial pole. Warnings have been sent to owners of businesses, restaurants and cafes, calling them to comply with municipal regulations. Several minutes have been drawn up and fines have been imposed.
