A partnership agreement has just been signed between Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB) and the Ministry of Education. It stipulates a commitment from the bank to ensure a substantial contribution to the national education digitization program which aims to improve the level of performance of the education system.
This agreement, signed Monday, June 19 at the Ministry’s headquarters, by Mr. Slim Khalbous, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Education and Mr. Mohamed Ferid Ben Tanfous, Director General of Arab Tunisian Bank, illustrates a partnership which strengthens the status of ATB as a visionary bank with citizen fiber and which testifies to its desire to concretely support the activities focused on education and technology.
It consists in equipping the computer rooms for primary and high schools schools, by equipment and logistics necessary for digital education.
This concept of the ATB rooms will make it possible to develop each of them and equip them with 10 computers and other equipment necessary to allow disadvantaged students of the regions of the country to access the world of digital education.
On this occasion, the Minister of Higher Education and Acting Education, Slim Khalbous, expressed his wish to see the bank engage in other projects of the ministry aimed at improving the national education system.
For his part, the Director General of the ATB, Mr. Mohamed Ferid Ben Tanfous, said that this new partnership is likely to strengthen the position of the ATB as a citizen bank.
He added that it was in this spirit that the bank has developed a whole strategy to get involved in a resolute manner in the country’s economic and financial development, while engaging, more particularly in societal actions including this support for the national project. Namely the digitization of education in Tunisia “the digital school”, in order to contribute to improving the level of education in Tunisia.
