A little girl was physically attacked by her father, in Gafsa, for refusing to leave school in order to take care of the family, in the absence of the mother, suffering from cancer and hospitalized.
Fathi Titay, member of the Tunisian Human Rights League (LTDH) intervened at the Mosaic FM microphone to talk about this sad event. He did not find better to say that “legally and in accordance with Islamic Shariaa, the father could have taken a second wife to fill the void left by the first, hospitalized, instead of encouraging his daughter to abandon his studies”.
This was the ideal solution to, let us remember, a member of the Tunisian League for Human Rights!
Bassem Trifi, Vice-President of the LTDH said that this position “is in no way that of the LTDH”, ensuring that measures will be taken against the member who advocated polygamy.
