The unions of the Civil Aviation and Airports Office, this 48 -hour strike notice, from August 12, 2025 on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, to claim the application of an agreement signed in January 2023.

The Tunisian Labor Union (UGTT), through its public offices and establishments section, announced a strike by civil aviation agents from Tuesday August 12 at 7:00 p.m. until Thursday August 14 at 7:00 p.m.

Push the management to respect its commitments

The movement is planned within the Office of Civil Aviation and Airports (OACA), a key player in the management of Tunisian air traffic.

This mobilization aims to push management to respect the commitments made in the minutes of agreement signed on January 24, 2023.

The main claims

The OACA unions criticize the management for not having applied several points of this agreement. Among the main claims are the payment of the productivity encouragement premium, the allocation of the office premium, the implementation of continuous training, the preservation of financial rights in the event of loss of qualification for air controllers, the cancellation of certain imposed assignments, in particular at the basis of monastir, and respect for the current basic status of agents.

The agreement of January 24, 2023 aimed at improving the professional conditions of civil aviation agents, in particular in a context of post-Cavid recovery. Since then, the unions have denounced an inertia of management as to its implementation.

This movement could disrupt air traffic in the middle of the summer season if no agreement is reached by then.
