A two -day strike by employees of the oil field “Sitep El Borma” was started in Tataouine while in Mdhila, CPG employees began, for their part a wild strike.

In Tataouine, the executives and agents of the Italian-Tunisian oil operating company (SiteP) began on the night of Wednesday to Thursday January 18, a face-to-face strike following the failure of the reconciliation session held last Tuesday at the headquarters of the governorate of Tataouine.

The Regional Labor Union has published a press release, reported by the TAP agency according to which, the strikers are asked to provide minimum service within the company during their strike.

The Union had announced, on August 24, 2023, a two -day strike (September 6 and 7) in the event of the rejection of the requests of sittineurs who demand, essentially the regularization of their professional situation.
