Quincy Jones, famous trumpeter and immense producer, who notably collaborated with Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles died yesterday at the age of 91.
Quincy Jones, the one who produced the legendary album “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, writes award -winning film and television music and collaborated with Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles and hundreds of other artists, died at the age of 91, announced today the Associated Press agency (AP).
According to his press officer, Arnold Robinson, he died Sunday evening at his home in the Bel Air district in Los Angeles, surrounded by his family, without specifying the cause of his death.
Quincy Jones won 28 Grammy Awards, including two honor, throughout his career, but it is his collaboration with Michael Jackson who remains one of the most significant. For Michael Jackson, he notably produced “Off the Wall”, “Thriller” and “Bad”.
But Quincy Jones also arranged discs for Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, composed the soundtracks of “Roots” and “In the Heat of the Night”, etc.
