The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, will represent Tunisia at the extraordinary Arab Summit which will be held in Cairo on March 4, 2025, following a preparatory ministerial meeting scheduled for March 3.

This summit will focus on the critical situation of the Palestinian territories, notably in Gaza and in the West Bank, where attacks against the Palestinian people are increasing, fueling attempts at the population’s forced displacement.

The objective of the discussions will be to lead to a unified Arab position, expressing solidarity and support for the Palestinians in their struggle for their legitimate and inalienable rights.

On this occasion, Tunisia reaffirming its commitment to Palestinian rights, will particularly highlight the need to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, with Al Quds al-charif as capital.

Minister Nafti will also take advantage of this summit to lead several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Arab countries.

True to himself, Tunisian President Kais Saied seems to have chosen not to participate. By opting for a remarkable absence, he thus left the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Ali Nafti, representing Tunisia on the international scene.

Also remember that Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune also decided not to take part in this summit criticizing the approach of certain countries in the organization of this summit.
