The Tunisian Minister of the Interior, Khaled Nouri, made a working visit to Paris on Monday, July 21, 2025, where he was received by his French counterpart, Bruno Retailleau. The minister was accompanied by a high -level delegation and the Tunisia ambassador to France.
This meeting was an opportunity for the two officials to make an inventory of the Tuniso-Français partnership in the security field, and to examine the means to strengthen it in the interest of the two countries, reports a statement from the Interior Ministry published today.
Cooperation areas discussed
Exchanges have focused on several key files including strengthening security cooperation, terrorism prevention, the fight against drug trafficking, the development of civil protection and support for decentralized cooperation.
The two ministers expressed their common desire to raise the level of bilateral coordination, in response to regional and international security challenges.
Place of the Tunisian diaspora
The Tunisian Minister also highlighted the essential role of the Tunisian community established in France, welcoming his contribution to bilateral relations. He called to further facilitate the conditions of residence of this community and to strengthen links with it.
