The Echaab movement published a press release yesterday Sunday, March 9 to return to the last events in Syria.

The party says it follows with great concern and a deep concern “horrible crimes committed by terrorist gangs in power in Syria, against innocent civilians, including murders, tortures, tobacco passages in the streets, invasions of houses, and barbaric bombings aimed at old men, women and children”.

“These criminal acts reflect the nature of the terrorist takfirist ideology adopted by the government in place and the armed groups that support it, an imminent danger threatening Syria and the whole of the Arab nation,” it said.

The Echaab party affirms the following:
1. We strongly condemn the crimes committed against the Syrian people, who represent crimes against humanity and a systematic sectarian and ethnic cleaning.
2. We warn against the transformation of Syria into a home of sectarian and denominational conflict, which could lead to its division and offer the Zionist enemy an opportunity to carry out its expansionist project, while firmly condemning any external intervention aimed at supporting a terrorist power and strengthening chaos.
3. We call all the Syrian national forces, parties, personalities and political and social actors, to form a united National Front to face this criminal power and its terrorist ideology, and to defend the unity and independence of Syria.
4. We call the national forces of the Arab world, as well as all the parties and organizations of defense of human and political rights around the world, to act immediately to support the Syrian people, who are the victim of an extermination and a systematic cleaning, executed with the complicity of certain countries of the region, and with shameful support of powers claiming to defend democracy and human rights.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) has identified since Thursday 973 victims, including women and children, belonging to many to the Alawite minority, a branch of Shiite Islam from which the fallen president Bashar al-Assad came. According to the NGO, they were killed “by the security forces and allied groups”.
