Three students from a private primary school located in Monastir were injured following the collapse of part of the ceiling of a classroom.
The regional commissioner of education, Habib Haddadi, said, this Wednesday, January 11, 2023, that two schoolgirls among the wounded left CHU Fattouma Bourguiba in Monastir after receiving first aid.
A third student was the victim of a fracture of the hand, which required surgery, his state of health is currently stable.
The victimized classroom has been closed and a technical study on the building of the private education establishment should be carried out before taking the appropriate measures, said regional education commissioner in Monastir.
The incident took place when part of the ceiling collapsed in the classroom during a course session to students of the fifth year, generating a general panic within the school.
