Tension rises to Sfax where the migration crisis linked to a massive influx of sub -Saharan migrants is in full swing.
The delegations of El Amra and Jebeniana in the governorate of Sfax were the theater today on Tuesday April 23, 2024 of a vast security operation carried out by the various security forces and the National Guard.
According to Diwan FM radio, during this large security mobilization the tents of African migrants from the south of the desert were dismantled.
This action follows the recent demonstrations in Jebeniana and EK Amra against the significant influx of migrants from the countries of sub -Saharan Africa, as well as the aggression and theft of the money of a citizen by some of them yesterday.
The Local Union of the Tunisian Labor General Union (UGTT) in Jbeniana and El Amra in the governorate of Sfax stressed in a statement published in a statement on Monday, April 22, the right of residents to protest peacefully to request a radical solution to the continuous influx of a large number of sub -Saharan Africans to delegations from El Amra and Jbeniana.
The union parties warn against and the consequences of this phenomenon and focus on all legitimate means of struggle, including the general strike, faced with the persistence of procrastination and delay.
