After an expectation of more than ten years, the green light was given for the construction of a new hospital in Siliana at a cost of 53 million dinars.
Siliana will have a new hospital to lighten pressure on the Siliana regional hospital. The Regional Technical Commission for building permits, this week has approved an authorization for the implementation of the project of a regional category B hospital in the Makthar delegation.
The new hospital, which will cost 53 million dinars, will have several services, including radiology, general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology.
Siliana Governor Walid Abassi said in a statement to the TAP agency that the project in question has been delayed by ten years, before being recently subject to the examination of the Regional Acceleration Committee for the Realization of Public Projects.
The new hospital construction site is now scheduled for the end of 2024.
