A prison guard aged in his thirties committed suicide by immolation this Tuesday, June 18, 2024, as said by Faouzi Dergham, public prosecutor at the Gabès court of first instance, in a declaration at Mosaic FM.
The body of the deceased, who was the father of three children, was transported to the university hospital for an autopsy. The public prosecutor has given its agreement to open a judicial inquiry, in accordance with article 31 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
