Bir El Hafey’s high voltage – medium -voltage station, located in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid, began to operate on Monday July 8 after completing all technical tests on Sunday.
This project aims to strengthen the region’s electricity network and reduce frequent breakdowns, said Abdelhalim Hamdi, governor of Sidi Bouzid, at TAP agency.
He stressed that residents have been waiting for this project for a long time, the work that started in 2017 before being suspended due to certain difficulties.
According to the same source, all the difficulties have been overcome and the work completed, thanks to the efforts of the staff of the Tunisian electricity and gas company (STEG) and the positive cooperation of all the services concerned.
