The world champion and paralympic Tunisian Walid Ktila added a new distinction to his record by winning the gold medal of the 800m wheelchair (T34) on the last day of the Grand Prix de Para-athlétisme de Dubai on Thursday.
He crossed the finish line in 1: 40.33, ahead of Qatari Ali Radi Arshid (1: 41.84) and the Emirati Mohamed Othman (1: 42.33).
This victory marks the second Tunisian gold medal during this competition, which took place from February 10 to 13. Yassine Gharbi had previously won the gold at the 400m wheelchair (T54), in addition to winning two silver medals (5000 m and 800 m) and a bronze medal in the 1500 m (T54).
