The International Film Festival of the Red Sea (RSIFF), whose fourth edition will take place in Djeddah, Saudi Arabia, from December 5 to 14, 2024, once again promises to be the crossroads of captivating discussions between major cinema and enthusiasts from all horizons. With an in conversation with (in conversation with) program which brings together world -recognized talents and a souk talent component intended for emerging creatives, the festival celebrates the richness of artistic exchanges and the diversity of cinematographic perspectives.

Michael Mann: a cinema legend in Djeddah
Michael Mann, American director, screenwriter and producer, is an undisputed master of the dramatic thriller. He marked the cinema with masterpieces such as Heat (1995), an unforgettable psychological duel between Al Pacino and Robert de Niro, or The Insider (1999), a breathtaking story on whistleblowers. Recently, he offered to the public Ferrari (2023), a poignant biopic on the life of Enzo Ferrari, mixing family drama and visual intensity. Mann will share his creative process, his choices of staging and his vision of contemporary cinema, offering a unique opportunity to learn from a master of the seventh art.
Viola Davis: a multiple facets actress
Award -winning actress and influential producer, Viola Davis is an essential Hollywood force. Winner of an Oscar for Slopes (2016), she also impressed in The Woman King (2022), where she embodies a warrior of an African tribe, a demanding role both physically and emotionally. The Egyptian actress Mona Zaki stands out as a major figure in Arab cinema. This year, it represents Egypt in the Oscar race for best international film with Flight 404a daring drama that addresses complex societal dilemmas. Currently in the United States to promote this film, she will join the festival directly to discuss her career and artistic choices. Mona Zaki is also known for her significant role in Women in Cairo (2009), a film by Yousry Nasrallah which explores social tensions and gender issues in Egypt, as well as Perfect Strange (2022), which was a resounding success on Netflix. Egyptian director and screenwriter Mohamed Samy left an indelible imprint in the Arabic television landscape. His style and commitment in his roles allow him to explore characters that are both nuanced and deep.
Ranbir Kapoor: the rising bollywood star
Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation in Bollywood. After impressing with Sanju (2018), a poignant biography of actor Sanjay Dutt, he continued to push the limits with films like Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva (2022), an ambitious fantastic fresco, and Animal (2024), an intense family drama that explores intergenerational relations.
