Sunday, July 21, the National Society of Water Operating and Distribution (SONEDE) published a press release informing the inhabitants of the cities of Korba, Menzel Temime, Kelibia, and neighboring localities, of a disturbance in the distribution of drinking water.
According to the press release, supply problems are due to a decrease in water production at the Belli treatment station, caused by a variation in the quality of raw water from the North Water Canal.
Sonede said that the situation should gradually normalize from midnight this Sunday. The company’s teams are actively working to restore water supply in affected areas.
