A visual surgeon was sentenced yesterday to 11 years in prison, for importing the quantities of expired Botox in Türkiye, and having joined the smuggling of this product in Tunisia.
She was sentenced at first instance as well as five other accused, including a customs officer and Tunisair officials, who received four years in prison for complicity.
It appears from the file that the customs officials of the Tunis-Carthage International Airport seized during the month of June 2021, a large amount of Botox from Turkey, and prove that it was expired.
They also discovered that other accused were in connivance with the doctor by facilitating the illegal import of Botox.
