Bizerte Regional Health Director Jamaleddine Saidani said on Monday, August 19, 2024, that 170 people were intoxicated following a dinner served at a marriage in the Utique region.
He said that the state of health of the persons concerned is stable and that all have left the emergency department of the regional hospital.
Jamaleddine Saidani said on FM mosaic waves, that intoxicated people have presented symptoms such as abdominal pain and high fever.
He revealed that a dish served at marriage caused this food poisoning. “The egg used in the case could be the cause of poisoning, since it is a sensitive ingredient, especially when preserved in inappropriate conditions,” he said.
