The agents of the Cereal Office in Tunis decided to postpone their strike. Initially scheduled for July 23 and 24, 2025, it will finally take place on August 20 and 21. This postponement comes after a conciliation meeting held on Monday at the Governorate of Tunis.

The administration, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Labor Inspectorate and the Unions met to discuss the claims. The Tunis Regional Labor Union filed a strike notice on July 15. The union calls for the tenure of contract agents.

The administration claims to have completed all the steps with the supervisory authorities and the chairmanship of the government. The union requests a rapid application of law n ° 9 of 2025, which prohibits precarious employment in the public service.

The agents also require the payment of productivity bonuses for 2021, 2022 and 2023. The ministry promised to examine this file at a meeting scheduled for August 15.

The union also calls for the increase in meal titles, which will drop from 6 to 7 dinars. The ministry has validated this increase and intends to fix the date of payment soon, with retroactive effect.

Finally, discussions on the harvest bonus remain unanswered. The parties await the publication of the new status of the office. The press union for rapid adoption. The administration plans to send the project to the presidency of the government by the end of August.
