The Ministry of Health warned against the use of ancestral treatments in the event of a scorpion or snake bite.
The ministry called, in an informal note, a copy of which has reached the TAP agency, to the need to take preventive measures to avoid reptile and insect bites, which experience proliferation especially during the summer season in the center and southern Tunisia regions.
He highlighted the importance of ensuring environmental hygiene and clogging all cracks in walls and ceilings and ridding household waste by placing them far from residential areas.
The ministry also called on citizens to wear closed shoes especially at night, to check the shoes and clothes before putting them on and bedding before bed.
He said that in the event of a scorpion or snake bite, the subject must be oriented quickly to the care centers to avoid possible complications.
