The National Society of Water Operating and Distribution (SONEDE) informs its customers that a sudden breakdown on the main electric transformer of the GHDIR EL GOLLA raw water pumping station will cause disruption, or even cuts, in the distribution of drinking water in the governorates of the Grand Tunis, from 3 p.m. this Monday, July 21, 2025.
According to the SONEDE press release, repair work is underway and the supply should gradually resume from midnight.
SONEDE specifies that all of its technical teams have been mobilized, in coordination with the services of the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG) as well as those of Civil Protection, in order to master the situation and put the station in service as soon as possible.
