This Monday, July 21, 2025, so far, marks the hottest day of summer in Tunisia. A large -scale scorching episode affects a large part of the country, with temperatures that climb dangerously in several interior regions.

According to data from the National Institute of Meteorology, the maximums oscillate between 33 ° C and 36 ° C in the Côteières Nordic and in the Cap Bon region. However, in the rest of the country, temperatures reach peaks: between 39 ° C and 45 ° C in the interior areas, and up to 47 ° C in the regions of Kairouan and Southwest, where the Sirocco (Chergui) blows intensely, accentuating the feeling of warmth.

The governorates most affected by this extreme heat wave are Kairouan, Tozeur, Gafsa, Kébili and Tataouine. These regions, already accustomed to high temperatures, today face peaks rarely affected this season.

On the meteorological level, the sky is partially veiled on most regions. The winds blow from the southern sector, weak to moderate, reinforcing themselves somewhat in the afternoon on the northern coasts where they will turn to the northern sector. The sea, on the other hand, passed little agitated in agitated in the north of the country.

The health and civil protection authorities recommend citizens to avoid prolonged exhibitions in the sun, remain hydrated and watch over vulnerable people, especially children and the elderly, on this day which promises to be trying.
