Hyundai Gros Tunisie wins the Oea label: a strategic turning point for automotive logistics

On July 17, 2025, Hyundai Gros Tunisia obtained the prestigious status of approved economic operator (Oea), issued by Tunisian customs. A strategic certification which propels the subsidiary into a new era of logistics performance, serving a more agile and more reactive national network.

Hyundai Gros Tunisie, an official importer of the Hyundai spare parts, has crossed a major milestone in its upgrade strategy. The company received, on July 17, 2025, the OEA certification (approved economic operator), issued by the Directorate General of Customs.

High level certification for a model company

The official ceremony was held at the customs headquarters in the presence of several leading figures: Michket Slama Khaldi, Minister of Finance, Mohamed Hedi Safer, Director General of Customs, Samir Majoul, President of Utica, and Tarak Cherif, honorary president of the CONECT.

This label is allocated solely to companies that have high guarantees in terms of customs, traceability and reliability. It opens the right to priority customs facilities, such as accelerated procedures, reduced controls or easy access to free zones.

A logistics lever to improve the customer experience

By obtaining this certification, Hyundai Gros Tunisia activates a new logistics performance lever. The simplification of customs procedures allows faster supply of original spare parts, reducing delivery times throughout the territory. This gain of responsiveness is translated concretely into a significant improvement in the after-sales service for customers of Hyundai vehicles in Tunisia.

The supply chain becomes more fluid, with better inventory management and reinforced monitoring at each stage. Result: a more fluid, more secure and better controlled customer course.

A background strategy to consolidate the group’s position

For Mehdi Mahjoub, Managing Director of Alpha Hyundai Motor, this certification marks an important milestone:

“This Oea distinction represents much more than just certification: it testifies to the confidence of Tunisian customs towards the Hyundai Tunisia group and confirms our determination to repel the standards of the automotive sector in Tunisia. »»

This recognition is part of an ambitious expansion strategy. Hyundai Tunisia continues continuously in technological innovation, optimizing its logistics flows and customer service excellence, with the aim of maintaining its position among the leaders of the Tunisian automotive market.
