The Ministry of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Maritime Fisheries announced the launch of the Alfa picking season from August 1, 2025. It will continue until January 31, 2026.
For this campaign, the ministry provides for a harvest of approximately 10,000 tonnes, according to a decision published in Jort (n ° 92 of the year 2025). This estimate makes it possible to better manage resources while preserving the balance of ecosystems.
Transport operations to grouping and ballooning centers must comply with articles 105 to 112 of the forest code. The ministry recalls that the transport of Alfa by trucks or vehicles remains strictly supervised throughout the season.
Even after the end of the picking, the ball and transport operations will remain authorized, provided that the plants were collected before January 31.
The ministry has also published the list of prohibited areas for any activity related to Alfa. This includes picking, grazing, transport, weighing and purchase. The objective is to protect certain sensitive areas from overexploitation.
