The draw for the calendar of the Ligue 1 championship, season 2025-2026 will be held on Saturday July 19 in Tunis. The season will officially start on August 9 and 10, preceded by the Tunisian Super Cup which will notably oppose the hope to the winner of a dam between the US Monastir and the Tunisian stadium.

The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) announced that the drawing of the Ligue 1 championship for the 2025-2026 season will take place on Saturday July 19 at 11:00 am, at the conference room of the National Directorate of Arbitration, in Tunis.

This meeting will mark the official launch of the new Tunisian professional football season.

Kick -off scheduled for August 9

In accordance with the calendar stopped by the Federal Office, the first day of Ligue 1 is scheduled for August 9 and 10, 2025. Ligue 2, for its part, will start later, on September 20 and 21, while the young championship will start on August 31.

This calendar offers a relatively short summer break to clubs, forced to quickly resume the pace of official competitions after the preparation phases.

Tunisia Supercup: a first trophy in play

Even before the start of the championship, a first title will be at stake with the Tunisian Super Cup 2024-2025, the organization of which will take place in two stages: a dam match between the US Monastir and the Tunisian stadium, scheduled for July 27 in Sfax, and the final against Esperance, on August 3 at the Radès stadium.

A high attention season

The 2025-2026 season opens in a context where Tunisian clubs are called upon to take up many challenges: African competitions, budgetary restrictions, reforms in discussion on professionalism, and high expectations of the public.

As the draw, supporters, leaders and technicians hold their breath to discover the program for the new season, in particular the expected shocks, the derbies, and the rhythm of the round-trip phases.
