A drinking water cut has affected several districts of Ksar Helal, in the governorate of Monastir, this Tuesday, July 15, 2025. The failure is due to a dysfunction on the main driving. SONEDE announces a progressive recovery from 5 p.m.
The National Society of Water Operating and Distribution (SONEDE) reported an interruption in the distribution of drinking water to Cité Erriadh 1 and 2 as well as on Avenue Habib Bourguiba, in the delegation of Ksar Helal.
This cut occurred following a technical failure on the main driving supplying the area. The technical teams of the Moknine District were mobilized to carry out continuous repairs.
In a statement published on Tuesday, the Sonede reassured the inhabitants indicating that the return of the water is planned from 5 p.m., gradually, once the work is completed. It calls on users to show understanding and ration their consumption while waiting for the normal resumption of service.
Water cuts, often due to breakdowns or maintenance work, are frequent in summer period, particularly in coastal areas where consumption increases sharply. The Sonede had already announced, in June, a programs of reparation targeted in several governorates of the center-east, including Monastir.
