President Kaïs Saïed received, Friday July 18, 2025 at the Palais de Carthage an invitation from his Algerian counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune to attend the opening of the 4th edition of the African Intra-African Trade Show. The opportunity to reaffirm solidarity between the two countries and the attachment of Tunisia to Africa.

IATF 2025 in sight

The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received this Friday afternoon at the Palais de Carthage, Azouz Baâlal, Ambassador of Algeria to Tunisia. The latter gave him an invitation letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to attend the opening ceremony of the 4th edition of the African Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025).

This continental economic summit is a major step in the development of trade between African countries.

During this meeting, President Kaïs Saïed praised the initiative of his Algerian counterpart, while reaffirming the attachment of Tunisia to its African identity.

He insisted that Africa, rich in natural resources, has all the assets to ensure the prosperity of its peoples, long experienced by wars, crises and famines.

Kaïs Saïed also recalled that Tunisia has continued to plead so that Africa is in the hands of its own children, in a logic of southern sovereignty, solidarity and cooperation.

Privileged relations

This new diplomatic exchange is a continuation of privileged relations between Tunisia and Algeria. The Tunisian president took the opportunity to underline the solidity of the links between the two countries, based on a shared history and a common vision of the future again.

He expressed the desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas, based on a shared conviction: the unity of destiny between Tunisia and Algeria.
