The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) reported this Sunday morning three telluric jerks in the Kasserine region on Sunday morning, southwest of Hassi El Ferid. The magnitudes of these tremors varied between 3.3 and 4.1 degrees on the Richter scale.
The first shock took place at 4:20 am local time with a magnitude of 4.1. Its epicenter was located at 34.89 ° latitude and 8.86 ° longitude, in the southwest area of Hassi El Ferid.
A second shock, with a magnitude of 3.8, was recorded at 4:58 am, its epicenter being located at 34.92 ° latitude and 8.84 ° longitude.
Finally, a third shock was measured at 07:08, with a magnitude of 3.3, its epicenter being 34.91 ° latitude and 8.79 ° longitude.
Fortunately, no victim or major damage has been reported following these tremors, although the authorities remain attentive to possible replicas.
