A criminal fire broke out last night at the primary school in the market square in Korba, causing significant material damage.
According to Issa Al Rayes, deputy secretary general of the Nabeul basic education union, a classroom has been damaged, especially in terms of equipment and windows.
This act, described as “criminal”, aroused indignation, especially since it is the fourth incident of this type in the same establishment.
The basic education union has pointed out the lack of guarding, especially night guards, to ensure school safety.
With nearly 1,000 students registered, the market in the Place du Marché is not the only one concerned with this problem, which affects several establishments in the region.
In response, a protest movement was held in primary school in the market square around 10 a.m. this morning. The demonstrators, made up of educators and administrators, expressed their anger at the increase in violence and the lack of security measures in schools.
