The spokesperson for the Nabeul Court of First Instance, Anis Meddeb, said on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 that the prosecution ordered the police custody of three, under the age of 15, arrested for suspicion of involvement in the fire of a classroom in a primary school in Korba.
He added that the three children are from Korba, but that they are not attached to the targeted school.
Indeed, one of them left the school system, another studied in Korba but lies in the governorate of Ariana, while the third is registered in a college under the Korba delegation.
“The suspects entered the school in the night of Sunday to Monday with the intention of flying, then set fire to a classroom, which destroyed its content,” he told Mosaic FM.
According to the same source, the Menzel Temime judicial police brigade took care of the investigation. The suspects were identified thanks to the recordings of surveillance cameras, which led to their arrest yesterday and to the order of their police custody.
