The maritime units under the District of the National Guard of the Center drafted, yesterday, 20 lifeless bodies of sub -Saharan migrants off the coast of Sfax.
These migrants drowned after the sinking of their boat at around 13 nautical miles off the coast of Sfax, a statement from the General Directorate of the National Guard said, according to the Tunis Africa Press agency.
The boat was part of Chebba, governorate of Mahdia, on the night of Tuesday 17 to Wednesday December 18 before sinking.
After the discovery of these 20 bodies, the maritime units continue their ownership and research operations in the hope of finding the other missing.
