The Cité de la Culture welcomes Japan Festival on Sunday, February 9, with an important activity program which will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This Japan festival is double since it combines a cultural program with the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of JICA in Tunisia.
This Japanese international cooperation agency is responsible for many development projects in Tunisia.
The Embassy of Japan in Tunisia is organizing this Japanese festival in partnership with the Tunisian-Japanese Chamber of Commerce, the Tunisia-Japon friendship association, the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan Alumni Tunisia (JAT).
The program will simultaneously offer several activities which will take place mainly at the Théâtre de l’Opéra and at the Théâtre des Jeunes Créators. The program includes traditional drum shows by musicians from Japan and Budo demonstrations by Tunisian Budôkas.
This Japan festival is also an opportunity to discover traditional Japanese culture, watch a Japanese film, discover exhibitions of floral art, and many other things. For this celebration day, the doors will be open and free entry. Indeed, Japan welcomes all audiences at the City of Culture for a day of celebrations and discovery.
