Twelve years after its last participation, Tunisia finds the U17 World Cup! The young Eagles of Carthage validated their ticket for the 2025 World Cup in Qatar after a decisive victory against the Gambia (2-1) on the 3ᵉ day of group C of the CAN U17, disputed in Morocco.
Tunisian goals were scored by Yassine Ben Mahmoud and Anisse Saidi, while Bisery Mendy reduced the gambia gap. The meeting was scored by a goal refused for offside and a strike on the post of Ben Mahmoud, as well as an exclusion from Ilyes Dhaoui at the very end of the match.
Thanks to this victory, Tunisia finished at the top of its group in front of Senegal, benefiting from a better difference in goals. This success confirms the rise of a promising generation under the leadership of coach Mohamed Amine Neffati.
With a talented workforce mixing local and expatriate players, Tunisia aims to shine on the world scene. Elements like Slim Bouaziz (AS Rome), Houssem Zaier (FC Zurich) and Wissem Tissa (FC Sochaux) will bring their international experience.
Already present at the Mondial U17 in 1993, 2007 and 2013, Tunisia hopes to cross a CAP and carry out a marking course during this new edition scheduled for November 2025.
