This Wednesday, December 25, 2024, a Lochman carrying 5,000 tonnes of gas intended for domestic use arrived at the oil port of Bizerte, after leaving Algeria.
This gas, crucial in winter period, is intended to supply several regions of the country, in particular the north and the northwest, where an intense cold wave is currently raging.
According to Salah Bargaoui, director of the center of the company “Agil Gaz” in Bizerte, all the logistics and human resources of the company have been mobilized to carry out the operation of unloading and packaging of gas in domestic bottles. The latter will then be sent to the various areas of the country, in order to meet the growing gas needs.
Recently, the distribution of domestic gas bottles had been disrupted in certain regions, including the capital Tunis, due to a delay in the accosting of the ship, causing a temporary shortage of this essential resource.
