Nominations at César 2025: 83 nominations for 21 films in the official selection of the Cannes Festival
The Cannes Film Festival is once again asserting itself as the cradle of world cinema, propelling films every year to the highest distinctions. The César Academy has just announced the appointments for its 50th ceremony, which will be held on February 28, 2025 at Olympia, in Paris. This year again, the films presented on the Croisette are at the top of the list, confirming that Cannes is often the precursor of cinematographic triumphs.
Thus, 21 films from the official selection of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival obtained 83 nominations spread over 22 categories. Among them, Count of Monte-Cristo by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière dominates with 14 nominations, followed closely by Love phew by Gilles Lellouche with 13 quotes. Emilia Pérez From Jacques Audiard, already crowned with the jury prize and the female interpretation prize in Cannes, is in the running for 12 trophies.
