Aïn Draham under the snow: Remarkable crowds for a winter getaway
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Yesterday, Wednesday, and today, Thursday, a large number of visitors went to the city of Aïn Draham, located in the governorate of Jendouba, to enjoy the winter atmosphere and the last traces of snow that fell during the night on certain heights of the region.

Visitors, mainly from neighboring governorates, especially from Grand Tunis, moved by bus, passenger cars and taxis. The restaurants and craft stands in the city of Aïn Draham as well as those located at its entries have experienced a remarkable crowd. Visitors particularly appreciated works of art and memories made by local craftsmen from forest wood and branches of various trees.

In addition, many children and young people have stopped by the roads to offer organic forest products for sale, such as mushrooms, natural honey and wild fruits.

The tourist units located in the city have recorded a high occupancy rate, reinforced by the arrival of many Algerian and Libyan visitors who came to spend the school holidays and the holiday season.

Several visitors to the city of Aïn Draham, including those going to the Beni Mtir waterfalls and the Dam bridge, told journalists from the TAP agency that the regions of Beni Mtir and Aïn Draham counted among the most beautiful they have visited. They were charmed by water sources, green trees, morning and vesperal fog, as well as by traditional dishes specific to the region, artisanal wooden objects and vegetable oils available on site.
