This year, television production promises to be rich and varied, with works expected in several Arab countries. Regarding Tunisian and Lebanese productions, little information has been disclosed so far, but on the Egyptian side, some soap operas already seem to establish themselves as essentials, in particular thanks to the reputation of their directors and the quality of the works they have already delivered in the past.
The most anticipated new productions
Among the most anticipated series, LAM SHAMSYA Figure at the top of the list. This soap opera is written by the big screenwriter Mariam Naoum, directed by Karim Eshenawi, and stages Amina Khalil in the main role. This trio had already made an impression three years ago with Khallil Balak Min Zizia production welcomed both by criticism and by the public. Mariam Naoum is renowned for his committed works, often focused on strong social themes, while Karim Eshenawi is recognized for his subtle and realistic staging. Another project to follow, Albi W Moftahodirected by Tamer Mohsen, renowned filmmaker to whom we owe Lo3bet Newtona poignant drama that had conquered viewers during Ramadan 2021 and which had kept them in suspense every evening. His return is therefore particularly expected. Tamer Mohsen is a director who excels in the psychological exploration of his characters, always offering deep and nuanced stories.
Synopsis : A three-time divorced woman tries to win back her ex-husband for the good of their son by finding a man who will agree to play the role of “Mohallel” (temporary husband). By chance, she meets a single, single transport service driver, to whom she offers to marry her without revealing the real reason for her offer.
The soap opera Zolm El Mastaba Also attracts attention. Its director, Hany Khalifa, is an essential figure in the Egyptian audiovisual landscape, renowned for its ability to weave deep human dramas with an elegant and immersive staging. He distinguished himself with significant films and series, characterized by great psychological accuracy and a keen sense of realism. Among his most notable works, we find Sahar El Layali (2003), an acclaimed film for its subtle writing and actors’ performances, as well as successful Ramadanesque serials like Layali Eugénia (2018), carried by Dhafer the Abidine and Amina Khalil, and Bedon Sabeq Enthar (2024), where he heads Aicha Ben Ahmed and ensuring Yassine in a captivating plot. With Zolm El Mastabait should once again offer a neat and poignant work.
Synopsis : In a rural region, Hassan and his friend Hamada are in rivalry for the love of Rabiâa. After a trip abroad, Hassan returns to discover that Hamada took advantage of his absence to marry the young woman with the support of her brother, the Sheikh Alaâ, who imposes his authority in the region. Hassan then decides to declare war on them.
In El Ghawy,, Aicha Ben Ahmed plays the main female role in a comedy, a new register for her. The Tunisian actress continues to impose her talent on the Egyptian scene, and this project could well strengthen her international career more. Accustomed to demanding roles, she was able to prove her talent by oscillating between cinema and television with brilliance. She shares the poster with Ahmed Mekki, an emblematic actor of Egyptian comedy, especially known for her main role in the successful series El Kebir Awi. This duo promises a mixture of humor and dynamism which should seduce the spectators.

But this new path is strewn with pitfalls and pushes it to take up challenges which will transform it into a popular hero with the inhabitants of its neighborhood.
Montahy El Salaheya is distinguished by the presence of Mohamed Farrag, an actor recognized for his relevant artistic choices and his requirement in the selection of his roles. Revealed by significant performance in Taht El Saytara (2015) and Lo3bet Newton (2021)he established himself as one of the most talented actors of his generation. His intense and nuanced play allows him to bring a psychological depth to his characters, making each of his marked appearances. Even without knowing the identity of the screenwriter or the director, his only presence is enough to arouse interest and guarantee a quality service.
Synopsis : Saleh’s life rocks when a professional problem leads him to prison. When he left, he finds himself unemployed, divorced, and in difficulty with his daughter. He then tried to rebuild his life thanks to online gambling, but finds himself trained in a dark and dangerous universe. Addiction pushes him to make risky decisions that threaten to bring him back into a criminal world from which he wanted to move away.
Ikhwatidirected by Mohammad Shaker Khodeir, features Nelly Karim, Ruby and Kinda Allouch. This director had delighted us in the past with significant soap operas like Taht El Wesaya (2023), Fe koul osboua youm gomaâ (2020) and Big hotel (2016).

Synopsis: Boussy, a talented hairdresser finds himself in financial difficulty and must bring together the sum of 80,000 pounds to finalize his marriage. It was then that the owner of the show decided to help him by offering him to work as a hairdresser at home, allowing her to discover a completely different world that she had never known before. Meanwhile, her fiancé tries to help her bring the sum necessary.
The long -awaited consequences
- Season 3 of Kamal Al Adad returns despite a season 2 deemed below the first. However, the complexity of the characters and the attachment they arouse among spectators continue to maintain interest. The soap opera, which follows a recomposed family now with eight children, a father and a mother, is still part of a comic register while highlighting the issues of four generations: children, adolescents, young adults and grandparents.
