Cocaine traffic at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, the main French air hub, was thwarted thanks to a meticulous investigation by the French gendarmerie. An organized network, connecting Brazil to France, was dismantled on Tuesday June 3, with the arrest of eight individuals involved in this case.
The police have arrested these suspects, including baggivers and executives from an airport company, in several departments including Seine-Saint-Denis, Oise and Val-de-Marne.
The investigation, initiated at the end of 2024 after the discovery of 50 kg of cocaine hidden in a range of freight, revealed that the network made it come out between 20 and 50 kg of drugs each month.
During the searches, the gendarmes seized more than 486,000 euros in criminal assets, 101,605 euros in cash, five cars, a house, luxury items and a handgun.
