Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas sent a message to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, before the United Nations Conference on the two -state solution.
Indeed, in this message he expresses his support for a disarmament of Hamas and at the end of his control over Gaza, as part of the construction of a future Palestinian state.
In this letter, also addressed to the Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salmane – who will co -resist the conference on the solution to two states scheduled from June 17 to 21 in New York – Abbas indicates that it is “ready to invite Arab and international forces to deploy in Gaza within the framework of a mission of stabilization/protection under mandate of the Security Council”.
“What Hamas did in October 2023, killing and taking civilians hostage, is unacceptable,” wrote Abbas, calling the movement to immediately release all hostages, according to the France-Presse agency.
