Yesterday, during the night, the explosion of a gas conduct at the Cité Ennasr (governorate of Ariana) caused a panic among the inhabitants of this district.
Colonel Moez Triâa, spokesperson for civil protection, returned this morning, in a declaration on the waves of Mosaique FM, indicating that during the night of October 16 to 17, civil protection received calls from citizens signaling a gas leak after hearing an explosion noise.
Two ambulances and a fire truck were dispatched to the site, and recommendations were made to citizens to evacuate their housing and avoid lighting the light.
Colonel Moez Triâa clarified that this leak was due to the explosion of a gas conduct at the level of a construction site, noting that a coordination was established with the STEG services to send a technical team that cut the gas.
The incident did not wounded, with the exception of an elderly man who was rescued on the spot and received oxygen due to asphyxiation.
