Tunisia achieved a beautiful harvest at the African wrestling championships which were held in Casablanca (Morocco) from April 29 to May 4, 2025. At the end of the competition, all categories combined (free, Greco-Roman and female), the Tunisian delegation leaves with a total of 30 medals: 6 in gold, 8 in money and 16 in bronze.
On the last day, seniors men and women won five new distinctions: one gold medal, one silver and three bronze. Khaireddine Ben Tlili distinguished himself by winning in the 70 kg category, while Farouk Jelassi won the money in the 65 kg. The bronzes returned to Khalil Barkouti (61 kg), Chahd Jeljeli (59 kg) and Lobna Aouichaoui (55 kg).
In total, the Tunisian seniors have accumulated 10 medals (1 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze). The U23 wrestlers recorded 5 medals (2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze), and the U20s distinguished themselves with 15 medals (3 gold, 3 silver and 9 bronze), confirming the depth of the Tunisian pool in this discipline.
